The Brief
Our objective was to evaluate the brands being specified by architects in the paint category, determine if other stakeholders influence these specifications, and explore architects' concerns regarding any changes made.

The approach
We sampled 200 architects from both metro and regional areas, ensuring a wide range of experience, project types, specialisations, and firm sizes. An initial email invitation was sent to 3,000 architects as a warmup. We then used a CATI methodology to complete the majority of surveys.

The challenge
The main challenge when researching architects is obtaining a truly representative sample. Architects are busy professionals with demanding schedules, making it challenging to secure their participation in surveys. Moreover, the diversity in their firmographics, project types, and levels of experience adds complexity to gathering data that accurately reflects the broader population. This necessitates rigorous methodologies and persistent follow-up efforts to ensure comprehensive and reliable insights.
