The Australian car parc is growing, but automotive workshops are struggling to find the trained technicians they need to service those vehicles.
Anecdotally, one significant issue is the view that automotive jobs don’t pay well enough. The AAAA has commissioned ACA Research to clear this up, collecting data on pay rates for technicians at different levels. This study builds on last year’s apprentice research, and will help the AAAA advocate on behalf of the sector to ensure that it gets the support it needs going forward.
As a workshop operator, we need to hear from people like you. Your input will help us build a robust understanding of auto tech pay rates. The survey will take about 10 minutes to fill out, and you can leave your details to get a free summary of the results.
The AAAA has contracted Fifth Quadrant, an accredited market research agency, as an independent 3rd party to run this research on its behalf. This survey is carried out in the strictest of confidence and adheres fully with all applicable Privacy Legislation. Your answers will not be attributed back to you individually without your permission.
If you have any questions about the research, you can contact the Fifth Quadrant project team directly at auto@fifthquadrant.com.au.
